Camila Cabello tells Zane Lowe from Apple Music’s Beats 1 that ‘First Man’ is the proudest song she’s ever written in her life!

You can find ‘First Man’ on Camila’s new album Romance and it’s dedicated to her father, Alejandro Cabello.  Camila tells Zane, “I remember I was in the studio and I had to literally go to the bathroom to just cry … and every time I listened to the song and I picture my dad’s face, I just lose it.”

Check out the songs chorus, “I swear on my heart that he’s a good man / I know you’ll stay up late just waitin’ for me.  You held me so tight, now someone else can / But you were the first man that really loved me.”

Camila sings about a father’s continuous love, protectiveness and bringing a boy home for the first time, “My dad hadn’t seen me dating or whatever because I was single for a really long time, and I think that when I was in my first relationship, he was just like very sensitive about it.  He was like, ‘Whoa, wow. Like my, my little girl is growing up.’  I think when I’m like 90 years old and if someday I’m just listening back to my songs, I think it’s just going to get more and more important to me as time goes on,” Camila shared with Zane.
