During Saturday’s ‘One World: Together at Home’ brodcast, which raised funds for COVID-19 relief, Taylor Swift performed a stripped down version of a song she previously said she would never perform live – ‘Soon You’ll Get Better’ off her Lover album.

‘Soon You’ll Get Better’ is a personal song about Taylor’s family and her mother’s cancer diagnosis.

“I don’t know if I’ll ever play it live,” she said upon its release in August, “That was really, really hard to write, and it was just a family decision whether to even put it on the album. We, as a family, decided to put this on the album, and it’s something I’m so proud of, but it’s just really hard. I can’t sing it. It’s hard to just emotionally deal with that song.”

During her performance, Lady Gaga when on Instagram Live to praise Taylor’s vulnerable performance. “This is so beautiful, Taylor,” she said. “Thank you for sharing this vulnerable moment with us. You’re really, really even so much braver in this moment.”
