The black-and-white video which was directed by Dave Meyers, opens with Selena and Chris embracing one another on the streets of New York City, for what seems to be their final hug.

Marking this as their first collaboration, Chris and Selena performed the track live for the first time on The Late Late Show with James Corden in October, and is also featured on Coldplay’s latest album, Music of the Spheres.

The music video comes several months after Chris told BBC Radio 2 that in the next few years, Coldplay will be releasing their final music, “Well I know I can tell you, our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that, I think we will only tour.  Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things, but the Coldplay catalog, as it were, finishes then.”

‘Let Somebody Go’ is the follow-up single to My Universe with BTS and Higher Power, the first two singles off of Coldplay’s new album.
