Christine Loughead walked into an Ontario grocery store, saw a lonely lobster and decided to pick it up for $20 to save it’s life. Not knowing how to get it to the Atlantic Ocean, she sought out help online where she eventually found a UPS in Winnipeg that would ship live animals. She spent $160 driving to Winnipeg and an additional $220 to send it to Beth, an online friend in Halifax, who deposited Joe the Lobster into the Atlantic Ocean. Check out the entire story above and coverage of the journey on Buzzfeed.
