Lady Gaga has returned with a new song, “Perfect Illusion!”

Gaga teamed up with producers Mark Ronson, Bloodpop and Kevin Parker of Tame Impala for the new single.

According to Bloodpop (who has worked with Justin Bieber and Grimes), the song is “a big rock song that makes you want to dance” (Rolling Stone). He spoke about the collaboration process on ‘Perfect Illusion’ between Gaga, Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker, “they started at noon and wrote into the night. Every few days, a lyric would change and it would get better and better.”

During an appearance at iHeartRadio headquarters in New York City, Gaga said this about ‘Perfect Illusion’, “The song is about modern ecstasy . . . We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it…..I get this sick adrenaline rush every time I heart it.”

Fans have been clamoring for new music from Mother Monster for a while now but she’s been busy in the acting world on Season 5 of American Horror Story: Hotel.

Gaga fans have been so excited about this new single, that a group of hardcore fans have reportedly pretended to be ‘soccer moms’ as a way to get mainstream radio to play ‘Perfect Illusion’, more than they would. The plan involved setting up fake Twitter accounts and tweeting radio DJs with requests to play the song. Here are some alleged examples of fake accounts:
