If you’ve seen the first season of the Netflix breakout series Stranger Things, you’ll know why Brown’s return is a bit uncertain (her character ‘Eleven’ presumably gave her own life to save the others), but according to TV Line, the 12 year old actress will return for Season 2.

To make things more “official”, the official Stranger Things Twitter account tweeted out a photo of the cast (including Brown) at a table read, with an upside down caption saying, “back in production, see you next year #strangerthings2”

Stranger Things’ Season 2 will pick up a full year after Season 1 and creator Matt Duffer told IGN why, “Yeah, you have to do the Harry Potter thing. You have to jump a year…Because like Gaten [Matarazzo], his voice has already dropped quite a bit, to the point where we couldn’t even do ADR with him. We had to pitch it way up. It’s dropped. He’s grown. As much as I would love to have it be Christmas right after that, it’s just not feasible, so we’re going to skip a year.”

Netflix has already confirmed that two new cast members will join the show next season: Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery.

Sink will play ‘Max’ who is described as, “A tough and confident 13-year-old [girl]… with a complicated history and a difficult relationship with her stepbrother, Billy (played by Montgomery).”

No word on whether ‘Eleven’ will be a regular or recurring cast member.
