Both stars have made it known publicly that they want to collaborate together. Back in February Shawn said, “I met him in America once and then he actually reached out to me over Twitter and so I got to talk to him a little bit. He seems really cool, really genuine.”

He added, “‘Give me a text if you’re ever interested in writing or whatever.’ If we can figure out a time and place, definitely.”

 

Shawn later confirmed that an upcoming collaboration was on the way when he appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden back in September.
