Paul Bettany: "Jason Statham Should Get an Acting Double"

Paul Bettany is not happy with Jason Statham. Statham had some words for Paul about Superhero movies, and now he’s fired back with shots at Jason’s acting. WE GOT A BIG SLAB OF HOLLYWOOD BEEF EVERYONE.

Paul Bettany, star of the Avengers, was on Conan last night and took the opportunity to respond to Jason Statham’s comments about Superhero movies. Jason told The Telegraph a few months back, “Any guy can do it. I mean, I could take my grandma and put her in a cape and then put her in a green screen, and they’ll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it. They’re relying on stunt doubles and green screen and $200 million budget. It’s all CGI created.”

Paul did not appreciate this and told Conan, “I try and do as many of the stunts as I can, myself. But there are times when it’s too dangerous or it’s too tricky, and even the producer says, ‘This is too dangerous and tricky for you.’ You know, potentially, he should maybe think about investing in like an acting double.”
