The Chainsmokers have teamed up with Chris Martin and the boys of Coldplay for a brand new song called, ‘Something Just Like This’!

‘Something Just Like This’ will appear on The Chainsmokers forthcoming album Memories: Do Not Open which is set to be released on April 7th.

The groups debuted the song together during a suprise performance at tonight’s 2017 Brit Awards.

Alex Pall told Rolling Stone in an interview that Chris Martin called him one late night in Malibu to record the song saying Martin “wanted to start after he put his kids to bed”. He said working with him was a pleasure and that he was “the greatest f***ing dude.”

He added, “when Alex and I got into the car afterward, we were freaking out, like, ‘whaaaaa?!”

He went on to say that ‘Something Just Like This’ was “one of the dopest songs we’ve ever written.”

The duo shared some snippets of a studio session with Chris Martin a few weeks ago, check that out below

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, a.k.a. The Chainsmokers, have been on quite a roll lately. They dominated the charts in 2016 with collaborations with Daya (‘Don’t Let Me Down’; they won the Grammy for ‘Best Dance Recording’ for this song) and Halsey (‘Closer’; the song held the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart longer than any song last year).
