Toronto’s own Abel Tesfaye, has been working closely with the fashion empire H&M, saying this about the project

“The world feeds me, and fuels me.. Iconic clothes become icons for a reason. They’re like dreams, they’re fundamental.”

H&M said this about the project on their website:

“His distinctive voice, dynamic songwriting ability and unique style make The Weeknd stand out among his contemporaries. He is praised by music fans around the world and is the holder of numerous major music awards, including a world record for “Most Streamed Album On Spotify in One Year”. He is the only artist ever to simultaneously hold the top three spots in the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart.

The collection is focused around the concept of selected spring garments – refined key pieces that blur the lines between classic and contemporary. Taking cues from The Weeknd’s distinctive style, the collection features clean-cut pieces with monochromatic and graphic elements. Naturally, there’s also a rebellious attitude to the look, with relaxed silhouettes mirroring the unmistakable Los Angeles aesthetic”
