Ed Sheeran might be from England but in his new track, Galway Girl off of his latest album ÷ (Divide), he paid tribute to his Irish Roots and along with St. Patrick’s Day, he gave the gift of song in the single’s official lyric video.

The video’s visuals include a broken up division sign, in blue and black of course, with animated lyrics INCLUDING a pac-man figure and the video features the word ‘Irish’ in the country’s flag colours of green, orange and white.

Ed, whose Irish heritage comes from his dad’s parents, decided that he would play some fiddle in the song and in the video, a giant green clover appears when it’s fiddle time.

Along with Shape of You and Castle on the Hill, Galway Girl is Ed’s next single!
